    • The 2025 Richmond City Water Crisis should never have happened, something is very wrong.  I will call for investigating the Richmond operation to see if state laws need changed for water utilities, especially for demonstration/testing of critical equipment operation and maintenance management systems.
  • Education:
    • Parents’ rights to know what is being taught and ability to control their child’s education.
    • Review of safety procedures and protection systems for all schools.
    • Protecting female students and athletes by limiting women's sports and locker rooms to biological females.
    • More opportunities to match students to schools...trade/vocational, special, charter, college.
    • School choice voucher system where the public system fails or does not provide appropriate instruction.
  • Growing Virginia’s economy
    • Lower taxes to attract companies and people.
    • End unreasonable regulations that costs or kills small businesses and jobs.
    • Support Virginia's Right-To-Work law to keep unions accountable to  its members and the employees.

    • Raise the Virginia top income tax bracket to  $34000.  It has been $17000 for over 30 years.
  • Stop fentanyl and illegal drugs that kill and harm our citizens.
    • Aggressive prosecution  of and focused laws to combat gangs and organized drug networks.
    • Funding and more addiction treatment programs.
  • Shorten early voting
    • 45 days is too long, too costly and too complicated.  Study and propose shorter period.
  • Clean Energy
    • Repeal electric car mandate.  It's your car, your choice.
    • Legislation to encourage allowing all clean energy sources and producers, including natural gas, modern clean coal, solar, wind, nuclear.

My wife Pam and I bought our home in the Bon Air area over 25 years ago where our son, Stephen, grew up.  I earned my B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the  University of Kentucky and I am a licensed Professional Engineer.  My  engineering career has taken me to various positions in manufacturing, processing, and construction  industries, including 16 years as the Plant Engineer for  a large  manufacturing facility in Richmond.  Also, shipbuilding test engineer, maintenance supervisor, wastewater treatment design, mechanical design, project management, construction inspection/commissioning.  This is the real world where we make useful things, make food, and make things work.   I managed high-level regulatory compliance to ensure the law was followed and the environment protected.  It is and has been a great privilege to work with a range of conscientious skilled people including the plant floor, tradesmen, management, legal compliance specialists, scientists, safety professionals, maintenance experts, and engineers of all disciplines.
